FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 10, 2022) – Kentucky State Treasurer Allison Ball announced the launch of a free online financial education platform for state and local government employees yesterday at a joint conference of the Kentucky County Judge/Executive Association and the Kentucky Magistrates and Commissioners Association.
“This financial education platform could not come at a better time for Kentuckians. Inflation is impacting everyone, and people need to learn how to stretch a dollar,” Treasurer Ball said. “This platform provides useful, real-life resources for important topics such as budgeting, home buying, college savings, and more that will help individuals navigate this tough time.”
The platform is free to use for all Kentucky state and local government employees and is available through a partnership Treasurer Ball has secured with the National Association of State Treasurers, the Wells Fargo Foundation, and Enrich. Individuals can access modules surrounding various topics such as budgeting, mortgages, health care, college savings, student loan repayment, banking, credit, financial planning, long-term care, and more.
“As Treasurer, I have continually demonstrated my commitment to the financial empowerment of Kentuckians,” Treasurer Ball said. “I am proud to fulfill a statutory obligation and goal of the Kentucky Financial Empowerment Commission by offering this important program that will benefit Kentuckians committed to public service.”
