KPPA Hires Michael Lamb as Chief Financial Officer

FRANKFORT, KY – The Kentucky Public Pensions Authority (KPPA) has hired Michael Lamb, CPA, as its Chief Financial Officer, a new position.

Mr. Lamb most recently served as General Manager, Enterprise Risk Management and Audit at Toyota Tsusho America (TAI), Inc., in Georgetown, Ky. In that position, he managed TAI’s insurance program, implemented and managed the company’s enterprise risk management program, and served as TAI’s code of conduct and ethics officer.

At KPPA, Mr. Lamb will be responsible for financial reporting and compliance, budget preparation and monitoring, cash management, and external coordination with service providers including KPPA’s outside accountants, banks, and actuary. The CFO will oversee the Division of Accounting within KPPA, which includes Investment Operations and Cash Management. Mr. Lamb will report to the Deputy Executive Director.

“Mike will be a great fit for KPPA,” Deputy Executive Director Rebecca Adkins said. “His leadership skills and experience in financial reporting and controls will help round out the Accounting and Investment Operations team at KPPA.”

Mr. Lamb spent more than 17 years at TAI. Prior to being named to oversee Enterprise Risk Management and Audit in April 2015, he worked for five years as the Accounting Manager for the Metals Division and five years as Corporate Accounting Manager.

He is a certified Public Accountant in Kentucky and Arizona.
