Zachary Patton Promoted to Addiction Services Program Administrator at SSCC

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 4, 2021) – Department of Corrections Addiction Services Division Director Sarah Johnson announced today the promotion of Zachary Patton to justice program administrator at Southeast State Correctional Complex (SSCC) in Floyd Co. Patton will be the program administrator for the substance abuse program located there.

“Patton has a proven track record of excellence in administrative roles within the department,” said Johnson. “I am confident he will bring that same passion and commitment to his new position. Both his education and experience will benefit the individuals he serves, the program at SSCC, and the Division of Addiction Services as a whole.”

Patton began his career with the Department of Corrections in 2014 at Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex in the fiscal office, and then later the offender records area. During his tenure with the department, he has assisted offenders with sentence concerns and helped offenders develop job skills to increase employability after release.

In September 2020, Patton began his career at the newly opened Southeast State Correctional Complex as the procedures development specialist. In this role, he was responsible for developing and implementing institutional policies and procedures. Patton also served as the public information officer, litigation coordinator, PREA investigator, and institutional duty officer.

Patton attended Lindsey Wilson College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in human services and counseling.
