Heather Redmon Promoted to Justice Program Administrator

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Sep. 21, 2021) – Department of Corrections Probation and Parole Director Erica Hargis announced today the promotion of Heather Redmon to justice program administrator in Central Office. This position is responsible for overseeing National Crime Information Center (NCIC) operations and the civil rights restoration process for the Division of Probation and Parole. Redmon has served in the position in an interim role since May 2020.

“Heather Redmon is a dedicated Corrections professional with a vast knowledge of NCIC and the civil rights sections of Probation and Parole,” said Hargis. “She is committed to the success of her team and I am happy to welcome her to this new role and as a member of the division’s leadership team.”

Redmon began her career with the Department of Corrections in 2017 as an administrative specialist II in the Probation and Parole Division. In this position, she served as an NCIC specialist. In 2018, Redmon was promoted to an administrative specialist III where she became a subject matter expert on the civil rights restoration process. Most recently, she was tasked with overseeing new processes stemming from Governor Beshear’s Executive Order 2019-003, which involves the automatic restoration of civil rights for eligible discharged offenders.

A 2015 graduate of Western Kentucky University, Redmon earned her degree in business management. She is a 2020 Community Services Division Award recipient.
