FRANKFORT, Ky. (Nov. 6, 2025)– Attorney General Russell Coleman announced today he returned on Friday from a Mission to Israel with other Republican AGs to build stronger relationships between Kentucky and our ally as well as to combat the rise of antisemitism at home and abroad.
General Coleman and his attorney general colleagues’ one-week visit to Israel included high-level meetings with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Israeli Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, members of Israel’s Knesset, as well as officials with the Israeli Defense Force. The AGs also had conversations about Israel’s growing tech sector and the ongoing fight against antisemitism around the world.
The Mission also included a first-hand witness to the horrors of the October 7th attacks by Hamas. The AGs visited the Nova Festival site and the terrorized Kibbutz Nir Oz and met with survivors. The American delegation also met with U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee.
“We saw with our own eyes what should have been a vibrant community with kids on playgrounds and crops being harvested, but in its place, a site of devastation and inhuman savagery. President Trump’s historic peace agreement saved the lives of the remaining hostages and presented a path forward for peace in the region. Israel is our stalwart partner, and I could not be more grateful to join my AG colleagues in standing with our ally as they heal from the tragedy of October 7 and work towards future peace and security,” said Attorney General Coleman. “Sadly, we see antisemitism rear its ugly head back in the United States, with many of our college campuses ground zero for this toxicity. On behalf of Jewish Kentuckians and our entire Commonwealth, we must combat this hated and the violence it begats.”
