Attorney General Cameron Announces Indictment of Logan County Man

FRANKFORT, Ky. (March 25, 2022) – Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced today that a grand jury presentation by his office of Special Prosecutions resulted in the indictment of a Logan County man for theft.

On March 25, 2022, a Logan County Grand Jury indicted Joe Stewart Wheeler, of Russellville, Kentucky, for one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition of $10,000 or more (Class C Felony) and one count of Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition of $1,000 or more (Class D Felony).  

Detective Herman Hall and Auditor Meaghan Barnett investigated the case on behalf of the Attorney General’s Office.  Assistant Attorney General Eric Finke presented the case on behalf of the Commonwealth.

The charges in an indictment are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
