Steve Beshear and Cabinet for Economic Development officials today joined company and community leaders in Marion County to break ground on the future home of Fuel Total Systems. The Japanese-owned automotive supplier will create 100 new full-time jobs and represents a $38 million investment in the commonwealth.

(AHK) in Bowling Green. The company, which just celebrated their grand opening in March, will create another 24 new jobs in the commonwealth.

(August 14, 2008) – Governor Steve Beshear and Economic Development Cabinet Secretary John Hindman today announced Fluortubing USA, a manufacturer of Polytetrafluoraethylene (Teflon®) plastic tubing, has committed to move part of its manufacturing operations to Campbellsville-Taylor County from its subsidiary company, Fluortubing B.V. of Utrecht, The Netherlands.

    FRANKFORT, Ky. — Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear today announced a $500,000 Economic Development Bond High-Tech Grant from the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development for Paducah business, Matrix Engineering PLLC. Matrix, a supplier of petroleum coke feed equipment for the pulp and paper industry, will add $500,000 of its own money to the grant to expand its customer base and expects to bring 20 new high-tech jobs averaging salaries of more than $50,000 to western Kentucky over the next three years.
  • Governor Beshear announces funding awards of more than $1 million from state energy fund to seven Kentucky companies

    FRANKFORT, Ky. –Governor Steve Beshear and Economic Development Cabinet Secretary John Hindman announced today the names of seven Kentucky companies awarded a combined $1,150,000 in funding from the Kentucky New Energy Ventures, a state program that administers public funds for investment in promising renewable and alternative energy companies in the commonwealth. The $5 million fund, established legislatively under the name, “Kentucky Alternative Fuel and Renewable Energy Fund Program,” was created by the state’s General Assembly under House Bill 1 during the 2007 Extraordinary Session.

Kentucky Trailer will relocate from its current site at 2601 South Third Street to a new location in Riverport. The move will allow the company to retain its existing 286 jobs in Louisville and ultimately create new manufacturing jobs in the community as the economy and trailer industry improve.

    FRANKFORT, Ky. – Governor Steve Beshear and Economic Development Cabinet Secretary John Hindman today announced INFAC Corporation, a leading producer and worldwide supplier of mechanical cables and electronics components for the automotive industry, will locate its distribution and sales center in Taylor County. The project, which will employ approximately 75 people within two years of operation, will support North American original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).

    FRANKFORT, Ky. (June 6, 2008) – Gov. Steve Beshear and Economic Development Cabinet Secretary John Hindman will depart Sunday for an economic development trip to Japan. The trip will mark the first visit by Gov. Beshear to Japan as Governor. Joining the Governor and Sec. Hindman will be First Lady Jane Beshear who is Secretary of the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation, Governor’s Executive Cabinet Secretary Larry Hayes, Commissioner J.R. Wilhite, of the Department for New Business Development, and Commissioner George Burgess, of the Department for Existing Business Development. Joining the delegation is Alston Kerr. Ms Kerr is Chair of the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the World Games 2010 Foundation, Inc.
