Kentucky State Parks Will Be At State Fair Aug. 16-26

FRANKFORT, Ky. – The Kentucky State Parks will again be at the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville this year from Aug. 16-26.

 

The Kentucky State Parks will be offering visitors a chance to win a free overnight stay at one of 17 state resort parks. Information about eagle watch weekends, elk tours and other park events will also be available.

 

The booth will be located in Lobby A of the South Wing and will be part of the Pride of the Counties section.

 

The state parks offer visitors a wide array of activities – golfing, hiking, swimming, boating, wildlife programs, great food, historic sites, camping, fishing, lodges and cottages. For more information, visit us at the Kentucky State Fair or visit www.parks.ky.gov

The Kentucky State Park System is composed of 53 state parks plus an interstate park shared with Virginia. The Department of Parks, an agency of the Commerce Cabinet, operates 17 resort parks with lodges -- more than any other state.
