Historical Presentation of 1860 Presidential Debates At Waveland Oct. 14
Lexington, Ky. – Waveland State Historic Site will host “The Presidential Debate of 1860” on Sunday, Oct. 14, from 2-4 p.m.
The debaters will be Abraham Lincoln, portrayed by Ron Elliott; Stephen A. Douglas, portrayed by C. Donald Hagy; John C. Breckinridge, portrayed by Steve Bowling; John Bell portrayed by Keith Boson; and as moderator, Governor Beriah Magoffin of Kentucky, portrayed by Ron D. Bryant.
This dramatic compilation of some of the most important debates in American history is free to the public. Refreshments will be available.
