Carter Caves Hosts 18th Annual Art Show On Nov. 17

OLIVE HILL, Ky.Carter Caves State Resort Park at Olive Hill will host its 18th Annual Art Show on Nov. 17. This year’s theme is “A Splash of Color.”

 

The show is open to professional and amateur artists 18 years old and older. The show starts at 9 a.m. with registration and an awards ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m. Cash awards and ribbons will be presented for best portraits, landscapes, scenes of Kentucky and miscellaneous categories.

 

The entry fee is $20 per person, which is good for up to four entries.

 

Carter Caves State Resort Park has a lodge, cottages, Tierney’s Cavern Restaurant, cave tours and canoe trips. There’s also hiking, golf, mini-golf, fishing and a campground. For more information and reservations, call the park at 1-800-325-0059 or 1-606-286-4411.

 

To reach Carter Caves, take exit 161 off Interstate 64 at Olive Hill. Go east on U.S. 60 for approximately 2 miles and turn left on KY 182 north. Park entrance is 3 miles from the left turn onto KY 182 north.
