Buckhorn Lake Will Host Arts and Cleanup Events This Weekend
BUCKHORN, Ky. – Buckhorn Lake State Resort Park will host an “Arts in the Park” weekend April 4-6, 2008, with a wildflower slide presentation, wildflower walk, pottery demonstration, craft show and book signing by Kentucky authors.
On Saturday April 5, the park will also conduct its annual spring cleanup, for which volunteers are needed. A picnic lunch will be provided to all cleanup participants, along with gloves and garbage bags. There will also be a drawing for door prizes to reward the cleanup volunteers.
The cleanup will start with registration from 8:30 a.m.-9 a.m. Volunteers will pick up trash at the Buckhorn Lake Marina and in the Confluence Recreation Area from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with an hour for lunch.
