Fort Boonesborough 5K Road Race Scheduled For Nov. 10
RICHMOND, Ky. – The Fort Boonesborough Foundation will sponsor the 5th Annual Fort Boonesborough State Park 5K Road Race near Richmond on Nov. 10.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the campground and the race starts at 10 a.m. The registration fee before Nov. 5 is $10 with runners receiving their choice of a t-shirt or a hand-thrown clay mug made by local potter Bill Whitt. After Nov. 5, the fee is $12. Prizes will be given based on age groups.

The Fort Boonesborough Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports Fort Boonesborough State park in various projects. The foundation recently purchased $1,200 in trees that were planted during National Public Lands Day on Sept. 29.
Fort Boonesborough features a reconstructed fort, campground, hiking trails, the Kentucky River Museum, mini-golf, picnic shelters and a gift shop. For more information, call 859-527-3131.
