GREENUP, Ky. – Greenbo Lake State Resort Park will host the band Bluefield Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at the park’s new amphitheater.

Bluefield is Rick Ferrell, a West Portsmouth native, and Jennifer Hicks. Ferrell wrote Tim McGraw’s hit single “Something Like That” and Martina McBride’s “Where Would You Be.” Hicks, of Nashville, was a finalist on USA Network’s reality show Nashville Star.

Bluefield describes their music as “timeless, with elements of country, rock, and a persistent honesty that defies any description except pure American music.”
