Bluefield To Play Aug. 31-Sept. 1 At Greenbo Lake’s Amphitheater

GREENUP, Ky.Greenbo Lake State Resort Park will host the band Bluefield Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 at the park’s new amphitheater.

 

Bluefield is Rick Ferrell, a West Portsmouth native, and Jennifer Hicks. Ferrell wrote Tim McGraw’s hit single “Something Like That” and Martina McBride’s “Where Would You Be.” Hicks, of Nashville, was a finalist on USA Network’s reality show Nashville Star.

 

Bluefield describes their music as “timeless, with elements of country, rock, and a persistent honesty that defies any description except pure American music.”

 

Both shows start at 8 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. For information, call 606-473-7324 or 1-800-325-0083. Guests should bring chairs or blankets.

 

Greenbo Lake State Resort Park in Greenup has a lodge, Anglers’ Cove Restaurant, campground, gift shop and 23 miles of hiking trails. For more information, visit www.parks.ky.gov .
