HENDERSON, Ky. – John James Audubon State Park will hold a series of all-day artist retreats for beginning to advanced artists.

The dates for the retreats are Feb. 22, March 14 and April 18. There will be guest speakers and special programs at each retreat.

The registration deadline is Feb. 21 for the first retreat and the fee is $15. Participants should bring their own art supplies.

On March 13, participants in the retreats will be exhibiting their works of art at the Audubon Museum. The public is invited to attend an opening reception from 6-7:30 p.m.. The exhibit dates are March 13-April 30.

John James Audubon State Park is the site where John James Audubon studied and painted birds from 1810-1819.  The park is equipped with cottages and a campground and offers many recreational opportunities, including a nine-hole golf course, 6 miles of hiking trails, fishing, and more.
