PINEVILLE, Ky. – Monday evenings will soon be a lot more fun at Pine Mountain State Resort Park at Pineville.
The park will start hosting “Family Night At Pine Mountain” starting Monday, Oct. 8 from 6-9 p.m. and will continue each Monday night through the fall and winter.
Last fall, the park began offering the Open Jam Sessions featuring musicians from the local area playing informally in the park’s upper lodge lobby. This fall’s program will continue with the music and include an assortment of games such as Bridge, Rook, checkers, chess, Corn Hole, and others.
Anyone who has an instrument and knows how to play it is encouraged to come to the park’s upper lodge lobby on Monday evenings throughout the fall and winter of 2007-08 to join with other musicians for an unrehearsed good time. Those interested in pursuing gaming opportunities are invited to bring their games to the adjacent Ray Harm Room to meet up with others who are ready to play. All activities are free and open to the public and everyone is invited to participate.
The park’s Family Night at Pine Mountain will continue every Monday evening thereafter (except December 24th, when the park will be closed). The event will provide a pleasant and fun atmosphere for the whole family. Plan to arrive early and enjoy dinner at the park’s Mountain View Restaurant before taking in the music and games. Dining hours are 5-8 p.m.
