Gov. Steve Beshear and Mayor Jerry Abramson, joined by Senator Gerald Neal and Congressman John Yarmuth, today announced construction will again be underway on the Kentucky Center for African-American Heritage.

“Empowering Today for a Brighter Commonwealth Tomorrow” is the guiding theme of this year’s Governor’s Empowerment Conference. Governor Steve Beshear will be keynote speaker at the fourth annual event to be held Aug. 18 at the Lexington Convention Center.
