FRANKFORT, Ky. – The governing board of the Kentucky Arts Council will hold its quarterly board meeting at 9:00 a.m. EDT, Friday, December 14, 2007 in the Victor Jory Theatre of Actors Theatre of Louisville, 316 West Main St., Louisville, Ky.
At 8:00 a.m., prior to the board meeting, the Kentucky Arts Council is hosting a community breakfast in the Sara Shallenberger Brown Lobby to better acquaint the Arts Council’s board and staff with Louisville area artists, arts organizations and cultural activities.
Kentucky Arts Council board members are Todd P. Lowe, Chair, Louisville; Everett D. McCorvey, Vice-Chair, Lexington; Wilma Brown, Danville; Zev Buffman, Owensboro; Jean Dorton, Paintsville; H. Dean Jones, II, Owensboro; Kelly G. Knight, Lexington; Ed Lane, Lexington; Phyllis Combs Liebman, Frankfort; Jo G. Marshall, Ph.D., Somerset; Gail Russell, Louisville; Ann Duggins Schell, Louisville; Gregory S. Shumate, Fort Mitchell; Retha Tarter, Madisonville; Randall C. Vaughn, Lexington; and James R. Voyles, Louisville.
All Kentucky Arts Council board meetings are open to the public.
Funding for the Kentucky Arts Council is provided by the Kentucky State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency which believes that a great nation deserves great art.

The Kentucky Arts Council is a state agency in the Commerce Cabinet that creates opportunities for Kentuckians through the arts. Every $1 in grant funds awarded by the Kentucky Arts Council helps grantees secure $15 in earned income and matching funds from individuals, philanthropic sources and other levels of government.
