FRANKFORT, KY – Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed the Honorable David L. Holton, II, to the office of District Judge for the 30th Judicial District, Division 16.

Holton has served as a prosecutor with the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office for the past 19 years. He also has a private law practice that consists primarily of probate and family law. Holton received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He and his wife, Stephanie, reside in Louisville.

The appointment shall serve until the general election on Nov. 4, 2008.
