Governor Beshear Appoints Member to Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Nominating Commission
FRANKFORT, Ky. – Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed Lela Williams as a member of the Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Nominating Commission.
Williams, of Radcliff, is a retired personnel management specialist for the U.S. Department of Army. She is a volunteer at the Community Health Clinic of Hardin and Larue Counties and is a volunteer recruiter for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program in Hardin county. She also serves as vice president for the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association.
The appointment replaces Anita C. Morton, whose term has expired. Williams shall serve for a term expiring April 15, 2011.
The Elizabethtown Community and Technical College Nominating Commission is made up of five members that are appointed by the governor. The commission is responsible for submitting a list of qualified applicants to the governor when a vacancy occurs on the college’s Board of Directors.
