Governor Appoints Member to State Board of Physical Therapy
FRANKFORT, KY – Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed Virginia Johnson as a member of the State Board of Physical Therapy. Johnson will represent citizens at-large.
Johnson is a retired teacher from Winton Montessori School in Cincinnati. She and her husband, Jeffrey, reside in Kenton County. Johnson replaces Dolores I. Lafferty, who has resigned. The appointment shall serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending April 30, 2009.
The Kentucky State Board of Physical Therapy is an autonomous board consisting of seven members appointed by the governor. Six of these members are physical therapists, while one is a public member. The group interprets and enforces the laws and regulations through the credentialing process, investigating complaints and applying disciplinary measures as set forth by law.
