FRANKFORT, KY – Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear has appointed Suzanne Cassidy and reappointed Jackson M. Andrews to serve as members of the Personnel Board for terms expiring Jan. 1, 2012.

Cassidy is an attorney and partner with O’Hara, Ruberg, Taylor, Sloan & Sergent in Covington. Cassidy earned her Juris Doctor from Chase College of Law. Cassidy replaces Rosemary F. Center, whose term has expired.

Andrews is an attorney in private practice. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville. He and his wife, Matilda, reside in Louisville.

The Personnel Board is composed of seven members. Five are appointed by the governor and two are elected by state merit employees. Each member serves a four-year term.

The Personnel Board was established to safeguard the merit system for state government employees and to serve as an impartial adjudicator of employee-employer disputes for state government.
