LIBRARY PRESENTATION BENEFITS INVESTORS OF ALL AGES
FRANKFORT, Ky. (Jan. 24, 2008) – Johnson Countians are invited to a library workshop on Tuesday that encompasses what all investors need to know before investing on their own. “Selecting an Investment” is appropriate for any age adult and provides investing knowledge beyond the company 401(k). Participants will hear basic information on various securities products and how they are structured; suitable and unsuitable investments; financial goals; and the importance of having a diversified investment portfolio. Participants will also receive free handouts and materials. Speaker Kelly May is the public information officer for the Kentucky Office of Financial Institutions (OFI). OFI is responsible for regulating the banking, lending and securities industries in Kentucky. OFI is committed to providing financial education and promoting awareness about the importance of saving, investing and making wise personal financial decisions.
